Ice and Weapons

Clever Tribe, welcome to the NHL- it is an exciting place to be. I promised pictures- so here are a couple and I will include some in each NHL post. There is no masking my enthusiasm for this sport so I will not even try. You might not recognize him in his rock star attire, but pictured above is Brenden Morrow- Captain of the Dallas Stars. I have to tell you, he is as humble, kind and genuine as he is talented and handsome- truly a Star in the NHL.

What could be more enthralling than enormous men traversing ice while balancing on blades just 1/8 of an inch wide, performing balletic moves as they try to maneuver an object the size of an overcooked hamburger with, well, a weapon? These men are hot-tempered, quick to fight and passionate winners.

There are two conferences (like most other professional sports) in the National Hockey League and those conferences are each divided into three divisions. I have listed them here. Clever Girls- the first step to keeping track of your guy’s favorite team is to know what division- from there, make note of the standings.

Loui Eriksson had a hair out of place. I'm so glad I was there to help. It was grueling work- as you can imagine.

FYI-

Devils, Sabers, Caps, Blackhawks, Avalanche and Kings are leading their conferences. More about the game of hockey tomorrow. I will limit the sport posts to two per week so as not to bore anyone into a coma.

  1. if this is where CG's are starting their understanding of this great sport, I wonder how clever they are?

I am not sure your meaning. Sometimes all that is required to spark some interest is a little extrinsic motivation. After all, guys read Playboy for the articles and go to Hooters for the wings- right? Soooo, why not provide a little eye candy and hand holding. Oh, and thank you for reminding me of something- I believe most people have the capacity to be Clever. All it requires is effort and thought.
